SYNERDIS^® is the exclusive French representative of the Slovenian manufacturer Kolektor ETRA for power transformers. A European leader, our transformers have been approved in Europe by the largest electricity companies in Scandinavia, Germany and the United Kingdom. In France, our transformers have been approved by the largest utilities since 2015. Our customers include EDF, SNCF, ENEDIS, SCHNEIDER, OMEXOM, LAFARGE, GE, VATTENFAL, VINCI, UKPN, E-ON, IBERDOLA, BOUYGUES, etc.

Kolektor ETRA is based in Ljubjana, the capital of Europe. The company has more than 500 employees and has been manufacturing transformers for over 85 years. Based on the original French technology of Alsthom Savoisienne, ETRA 33 became a subsidiary of the international Kolektor group in 2010 (world leader in automotive switches) to support the ramp-up of the 400 kV production line.

This enables us to produce, transport and install high-quality, reliable electrical transformers of up to 500 MVA and 400 kV, using state-of-the-art technology and for cutting-edge applications.

Our areas of expertise include

• All our laminations and magnetic cores are designed and assembled in our factories, as are our low, high and high-voltage column-type windings.
• Our high-performance paraffin vapour drying system.
• Humidity control in the plant under controlled atmosphere.
• Our state-of-the-art high-voltage laboratory is designed as a Faraday cage to provide the finest test measurements.

ETRA has acquired new, ultra-modern, state-of-the-art factories and a comprehensive ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 quality system. Their CSR policy is also recognised as one of the most advanced in the sector, with strong commitments to supporting health insurance schemes, eliminating single-use plastics, respecting parity and equal pay, and offering company benefits to encourage the practice of sport. All employees also benefit from a personalised ongoing training programme.

Thanks to our team of highly experienced and trained staff, we can carry out all types of routine and special tests required by international standards. Kolektor ETRA oil transformers are manufactured in accordance with industry standards, including IEC, EN and ANSI. Already approved for 63 kV and 90 kV voltages, Kolektor ETRA was granted 225 kV approval by the EDF Group in 2018.

Kolektor ETRA is constantly developing new high-tech products to keep pace with market developments and meet the most demanding customer requirements. The entire research and development process is integrated into a collaborative network with universities and research institutes, guaranteeing continuous improvements in terms of performance, efficiency, cost optimisation and the lifespan of existing products.
